[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 농업인 중심의 임대 서비스를 제공하기 위해 농한기 기간 중 중부·동부 농기계임대사업소의 토요일 휴무를 시행한다고 18일 밝혔다.

 

이번 조정은 농기계 이용 수요가 상대적으로 감소하는 농한기에 운영 체계를 개선하고, 인력과 예산을 효율적으로 활용해 농번기 현장 지원을 강화하기 위해 추진됐다.

 

기존에는 농한기와 농번기 구분 없이 3월부터 11월까지 토요일에도 임대사업소를 운영했지만, 올해는 오는 7월 1일부터 8월 15일까지 토요일 휴무를 시행한다.

 

휴무 대상은 중부·동부 농기계임대사업소이며, 휴무일은 오는 7월 4일과 11일, 18일, 25일, 8월 1일과 8일, 15일 등 총 7일이다.

 

시는 농한기 운영 조정을 통해 현장 직원들의 근무 부담을 완화하고, 평일 업무 공백을 최소화해 행정 서비스의 질을 높일 계획이다.
