▲ 합천동부농협, 중만생 양파 산지경매 개시…19일까지 전자경매 운영

[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천동부농협이 2일 농산물공판장에서 2026년산 중만생 양파 산지경매를 시작하며 본격적인 양파 출하 시즌에 돌입했다.

이번 경매는 오는 19일까지 매주 화요일과 금요일 오전 11시 전자경매 방식으로 진행된다. 출하를 희망하는 농가는 경매 전날 오후 1시부터 4시까지 또는 당일 오전 8시부터 10시까지 공판장에 양파를 반입하면 된다.

합천동부농협 농산물공판장은 마늘·양파 주산지에 위치해 대도시 공판장 출하에 따른 운송비와 이동 시간을 줄일 수 있는 것이 장점이다. 생산지에서 직접 경매가 이뤄져 출하 편의성을 높이고 농가의 판매 기회 확대에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

공판장은 지난해 풋마늘, 조생양파, 건마늘 등의 경매를 통해 372억 원 규모의 거래 실적을 기록했다.

합천군은 농가의 출하 부담을 줄이기 위해 경매수수료 일부를 지원하고 있다. 지난해에는 건마늘과 풋마늘, 조생양파를 출하한 2614개 농가를 대상으로 경매수수료를 지원했다.

한편 합천동부농협은 중만생 양파 경매에 이어 오는 7월 1일 건마늘 초매식을 열고 건마늘 산지경매도 본격적으로 진행할 계획이다.
