[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 한국전쟁 전후 민간인 희생자들을 추모하고, 한반도의 평화통일과 법 앞에 모든 이들이 평등한 인권의 지평을 넓히며, 전쟁 없는 평화의 토대를 다지기 위한 제37회 거창평화인권예술제가 오는 23일부터 28일까지 개최된다고 19일 밝혔다.

 

이번 예술제는 오는 23일 오후 2시, 거창군종합사회복지관 3층 강당에서 개막식과 ‘국가폭력 피해자 해결 방안과 현재 상황 공유를 위한 토론회’로 막을 연다. 

 

토론회는 김동춘 성공회대학교 석좌교수가 좌장을 맡아 진행되며, 진실‧화해를위한과거사정리위원회, 국가폭력피해범국민연대, 제주4.3사건민간인희생자유족회, 여순항쟁유족총연합회, 한국전쟁전후민간인피학살자전국유족회, 거창사건희생자유족회, 보도연맹원유족회 등 전국 유족회와 시민사회단체들이 참여할 예정이다.

 

이날 행사에서는 무형문화유산 제3호 동래학춤 이수자 박소산과 낙동국악예술원 김도경 대표의 액막이타령, 넋전춤, 담양 선궁전통예술보존회 우지민 이사장의 국악가요 공연이 함께 열려 예술을 통한 위로와 감동을 선사할 예정이다.

 

24일부터 28일까지는 거창문화센터 전시실에서 거창민미협과 거창민사협 회원들이 참여한 평화와 인권 주제의 미술‧사진전도 열린다.

 

또한, 올해 신원 순례는 두 차례 진행될 예정인데, 먼저 24일에는 전국 과거사 관련 유족회와 시민사회단체, 28일에는 지역 청소년과 학부모를 대상으로 하며, 신원 719묘역과 거창사건추모공원 등을 찾아 억울하게 희생된 영령들을 추모하고 왜곡된 역사의 진실을 바로 잡는 뜻깊은 시간을 갖는다. 

 

예술제 집행위원회 관계자는 “이번 평화인권 토론회를 통해 전국의 과거사 청산과 관련된 유족회를 비롯한 시민사회단체들의 활동 성과와 과제를 공유하고, 앞으로의 연대 방향을 함께 모색하는 자리가 되기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 거창평화인권예술제가 거창사건의 역사적 의미와 정신을 지키며 인권의 소중함을 일깨우는 문화예술 축제가 될 수 있도록 군민들의 관심과 참여 바란다”고 말했다.
