[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 11일 창원 동남아트센터에서 ‘2024 경남 K-디자인 어워드 시상식’을 개최했다.

 

경남도는 산업디자인의 역할과 필요성을 재조명하고 우수 디자인 인재를 발굴하고자 2023년부터 ‘경남 K-디자인 어워드’ 공모전을 추진하고 있다.

 

이번 공모전은 경남도가 주최하고 (사)경남디자인산업협회가 주관하여, 4개 분야의 자유주제와 도내 기업이 디자인 개발을 제안한 9개의 기업주제로 진행됐다. 

 

전국 고등학생, 대학(원)생, 일반인, 기업체에서 1,148점이 출품됐으며, 최종 49점이 수상작으로 선정됐다.

 

이날 시상은 자유·기업주제 통합 대상 1명, 자유·기업주제별 금·은·동 12명, 고등부 6명, 지역인재 10명으로 총 49명이 수상의 영예를 안았다.

 

영예의 대상은 확장 가능한 메인 휠을 통해 계단 등의 각종 장애물을 극복할 수 있는 도심 속 운반에 특화된 모빌리티인 ‘분리형 운반 퍼스널 모빌리티 MOVEAST’를 제안한 한국공학대 전예훈·전재민 팀이 차지했으며, 상장과 트로피, 상금 1,000만 원이 수여됐다.

 

자유주제 금상은 ▲‘LA 다저스 : 도전을 하는 것에 겁이 없는(박경진) ▲‘척추측만증 재활 교정운동기구’(김철현)가 차지했으며 기업주제 금상은 ▲‘FIT-Carbon foot guard(권수진)’ ▲‘FlexiTab(최지우)’ 가 수상하였으며, 상장과 트로피, 상금 400만원이 수여됐다.

 

이외에도 은상 8명에게는 상장과 트로피, 상금 100만원이, 동상 12명에게는 상장과 트로피, 상금 50만원, 특별상(후원기관장상) 8명에게는 상금 30만원이 전달됐다.

 

올해는 디자인 인재 육성과 발굴을 위해 고등부 6명과 도내 디자인 인재 10명에게도 후원기관장상과 10~50만원의 상금이 수여되어 총 49명에게 4,670만원의 상금이 수여됐다.

 

이날 수상한 작품들은 지난달 13일부터 5일간 코엑스에서 개최된 전국 최대규모 디자인 전시회인 ‘디자인코리아 2024’에 전시된 바 있으며, 11일부터 17일까지는 동남아트센터(창원시 대원동 소재)에서 도민들과 만나게 된다.

 

김명주 경남도 경제부지사는 “디자인은 ‘제품 매출 영향력 1위’로 손꼽힐 정도로 산업에서 경제적 가치와 역할이 나날이 중요해지고 있다”라며, “경남도는 앞으로 경남 K-디자인 어워드의 성공적인 운영을 통해 디자인산업의 저변을 확대하고 지역 디자인 인재발굴과 양성을 통해 지속가능한 디자인산업 환경을 조성해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

This competition was hosted by Gyeongnam Province and organized by the Gyeongnam Design Industry Association, and was held with 4 free themes and 9 corporate themes in which companies in the province proposed design development.

This year, in order to foster and discover design talent, 6 high school students and 10 local design talents were awarded the sponsorship award and prize money of 100,000 to 500,000 won, for a total of 46.7 million won in prize money awarded to 49 people.
