[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남경찰청에서는 봄 행락철을 맞아 도내 교통사망사고가 증가 하고 있어 도경 기동단속팀, 기동순찰대, 상설부대 등 가용경력을 최대한 동원해 오는 15일부터 5월 31일까지 46일간 교통법규 위반행위에 대한 특별 단속에 나선다.

올해 도내에서 발생한 교통사망사고는 58건으로 지난해 동기간 대비해서 7건(13.7%)이 증가했다.

특히, 마산중부, 김해중부·서부, 밀양 등 도심권 경찰서에서 41건(70.6%) 발생했으며 농어촌 3급지 경찰서 중에서는 창녕서에서 4건 발생한 것으로 분석됐다.

이에 경남경찰청은 교통사망사고 증가 특별경보를 발령하고 도경 기동단속팀 (암행순찰차 2대, 교통싸이카 10대)과 기동순찰대, 상설부대를 도심권 경찰서에 지원, 음주운전을 비롯한 이륜차·화물차 등 법규위반 행위를 강력하게 단속할 계획이다. 

또한 이와 병행해 프로젝트 특수시책을 추진해 노인 운전자와 보행자에 대한 홍보·교육 활동도 강화할 방침이다.
