[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 홍남표 창원특례시장은 29일 오후 접견실에서 방위산업 발전과 역대 최대규모의 수출실적으로 K방산의 위상을 더 높인 창원시 대표 방산기업에 대해 ‘2022년 방위산업 발전 유공기업’으로 선정하고 감사패를 전달했다고 밝혔다.

 

2022년 방위산업 발전 유공기업은 ▲한화에어로스페이스(주) ▲현대로템(주) ▲(주)키프코전자항공 ▲일신하이테크 ▲(주)엘케이텍 등 5개사로 창원특례시장 명의의 감사패를 각각 전달했다. 

 

한화에어로스페이스(주)(대표 손재일)는 대한민국 유일의 항공기 엔진 제작 기업으로  지난 11월 방산분야 자회사인 한화디펜스와 합병하여 세계적인 방산기업으로 발돋움하는 대한민국 대표 방산기업으로서 전 세계 9개국에 수출되어 세계 자주포 시장을 석권하고 있는 명품 K9 자주포 그리고 장갑차와 미래전장용 무인 지상로봇 등을 생산하고 있다. 

 

현대로템(주)(대표 이용배)은 40년 이상 최신예 지상 장비를 생산하고 있는 대한민국 방위산업 대표 체계기업으로서 K2 흑표전차 개발과 국내 전력화에 이어 올해 폴란드 수출에 성공했다.

홍남표 창원특례시장은 “윤석열 정부의 방위산업 육성 정책 기조와 수출성과 호조로 이제 방위산업은 자주국방을 넘어 수출산업으로서 국가 미래 먹거리 산업으로 발전해 나갈 것으로 전망된다”며 “창원국가산단 2.0 유치와 첨단 대형장비 구축을 통해 방산 기업을 유치하고 창원시의 특성과 장점을 잘 살려 혁신성장과 경제 기반구축에 필요한 정책적·행정적 지원을 펼쳐 나가겠다”고 말했다.
