[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도가 민선 9기 출범을 앞두고 향후 4년간의 도정 청사진 마련에 본격 착수했다.

 

경상남도는 9일 민선 9기 도정 비전과 핵심 정책과제 수립을 위한 ‘경남대도약준비팀’을 구성하고 운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.

 

준비팀은 민선 8기 도정 성과를 바탕으로 향후 도정 운영 방향을 구체화하고 공약 이행계획을 수립하기 위해 마련된 실무형 조직이다. 외부 전문가 4명, 공무원 18명, 경남연구원 연구진 6명 등 총 28명 규모로 구성됐으며, 20여 일간 경남연구원에서 활동한다.

 

경남도는 기존 인수위원회 방식 대신 소규모 실무 조직을 운영해 정책 검토와 실행계획 수립에 집중한다는 방침이다.

 

준비팀은 우선 민선 9기 공약을 대상으로 실현 가능성과 정책 효과, 재정 여건, 추진 일정 등을 종합적으로 검토해 구체적인 실행계획을 마련할 계획이다.

 

특히 민선 9기 핵심 성장 전략으로 피지컬 AI(인공지능), 소형모듈원전(SMR), 우주항공복합도시 조성 등 미래 신산업 육성을 제시했다. 이를 통해 경남의 산업 경쟁력을 높이고 새로운 성장동력을 확보한다는 구상이다.

 

도는 미래산업 육성과 함께 복지 확대와 민생경제 회복에도 정책 역량을 집중할 계획이다. 지역 주력산업 성장 성과가 도민 삶의 질 향상으로 이어질 수 있도록 생활밀착형 정책 발굴에도 나선다.

 

지역 균형발전도 주요 과제로 꼽힌다. 경남도는 18개 시·군의 동반 성장을 위한 발전 전략과 함께 청년 인구 유출 대응, 정주여건 개선, 세대별 맞춤형 지원 정책을 강화해 지역 경쟁력을 높일 방침이다.

 

준비팀은 민선 8기 정책의 연속성을 유지하면서도 성과를 확대할 수 있는 후속 과제를 발굴하고, 도정 전반의 구조개혁 방안도 함께 검토할 예정이다.

 

경남도 관계자는 “민선 9기 출범 이후 주요 정책이 차질 없이 추진될 수 있도록 철저히 준비하고 있다”며 “경남의 미래 성장동력 확보와 도민 삶의 질 향상을 동시에 실현할 수 있는 도정 기반을 마련하는 데 집중하겠다”고 말했다.
