[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 여름철 기온 상승에 따른 식품 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 오는 30일까지 먹거리통합지원센터 공급업체를 대상으로 위생점검을 실시한다고 8일 밝혔다.

 

이번 점검은 먹거리통합지원센터를 통해 학교와 공공급식 시설 등에 식재료를 공급하는 업체를 대상으로, 식재료 생산·유통 과정 전반의 위생관리 실태를 집중적으로 살펴볼 예정이다.

 

진주시는 작업장과 시설의 청결 상태를 비롯해 식재료 보관 및 관리 실태, 종사자 개인위생 준수 여부 등을 중점 점검해 안전한 급식 환경 조성에 행정력을 집중하고 있다.

 

또 시는 어린이집 제철 과일을 지원하는 어린이집 과일 간식 지원사업과 초등 돌봄 이용 학생에게 컵 과일을 제공하는 어린이 과일 간식 지원사업 공급업체도 함께 점검한다.

 

시는 성장기 아동에게 제공되는 간식의 안전성을 확보하기 위해 관련 업체에 대한 위생관리와 잔류농약 검사와 한우 유전자 검사 등 식재료 안전성 검사도 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.

 

진주시 관계자는 “공공급식과 어린이 대상 간식 지원사업은 무엇보다 안전이 최우선이다”며 “철저한 위생점검과 안전성 검사를 통해 안심할 수 있는 먹거리 공급체계를 구축해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
