[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 양산시가 동부권 균형발전 및 정주여건 개선을 위해 웅상지역에 총 4,288억원을 투입하는 대규모 투자를 이어가고 있다.

 

시는 15개 주요 사업에 대규모 재원을 집중하며, 올해 본예산만 462억원을 편성해 웅상지역을 동부권 중심도시로 육성하겠다는 방침이다. 

 

특히 회야강 르네상스 추진, 도시계획도로 개설, 여가·녹지 공간 확충, 생활 기반시설 정비 등 시민 체감도가 높은 분야에 예산을 전략적으로 배분하고, 연차별 계획에 따라 지속적인 재정투자를 이어갈 계획이다.

 

투자 계획 중 가장 큰 비중을 차지하는 것은 회야강 르네상스 사업이다. 

 

총 1,737억원 규모로 추진되는 이 사업은 주진불빛공원 조성, 강변 도로 확폭 및 문화예술공간 조성, 회야강변 빛line 및 교량하부 문화역사공간 조성, 회야강 재해예방 사업(경남도 직접 시행) 등을 포함한다. 

 

시는 올해 255억원을 편성해 도심형 수변공간 조성을 본격화하며, 회야강을 중심으로 한 관광·문화 명소를 만들어 지역 경쟁력을 높인다는 계획이다.

 

도로 인프라 확충에도 874억원이 투입된다. 

 

국도7호선~명곡교차로 간 도시계획도로, 소주·주남 일원 도시계획도로 개설 등 주요 4개 노선 정비 사업이 추진되며, 올해 136억원을 편성해 교통 불편 해소와 지역 접근성 강화에 나선다.

아울러 △평산고지배수지 설치 △노후 하수관로 정비 △덕계동 파크골프장 조성 △동부행정타운 조성 등 생활 기반시설 정비 사업에는 646억원이 투입된다. 올해는 40억원을 편성해 주민들이 체감할 수 있는 생활환경 개선 사업을 차질 없이 추진한다.

 

양산시 관계자는 “웅상지역은 대규모 기반시설과 생활환경 개선 사업이 균형 있게 추진되고 있는 지역”이라며 “앞으로도 계획적이고 지속적인 재정 투자를 통해 웅상지역을 동부권 핵심 거점으로 육성해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
