[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 농림축산식품부가 추진하는 그린바이오 3대 핵심 인프라를 모두 유치하며 국내 유일의 ‘그린바이오 트리플 크라운’을 달성했다고 14일 밝혔다.

 

이번 유치한 사업은 그린바이오 벤처캠퍼스, 그린바이오 산업육성지구, 천연물 소재 전주기 표준화 허브로 기초지자체 중 진주시가 유일하다.

 

이번 성과는 핵심 인프라의 지리적 집적과 그린바이오 전주기 밸류체인 구축, 지역 특화자원의 전략적 활용 측면에서 큰 의미를 지니고 있다.

 

진주시는 문산읍 생물산업전문농공단지에 모든 인프라를 집적해 농산물이 연구·가공·표준화·사업화로 직결되는 구조를 완성했다.

 

이에 따라 기업들은 연구·창업부터 실증, 규제특례 및 국비 R&D 연계까지 한 지역에서 해결하는 원스톱 지원 환경을 제공받게 된다.

 

시는 오는 2027년 준공 예정인 벤처캠퍼스와 오는 2030년 완공될 천연물 표준화 허브, 산업육성지구가 연계돼 전주기 산업 생태계가 구축된다.

 

특히 진주시는 딸기와 백세콩 등 지역 특화작물을 활용해 천연물·식품소재 분야에서 농업과 바이오산업의 고도화를 본격 추진할 계획이다.
