[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 열명의 선수들이 풋살장 이곳 저곳을 헉헉대며 굵은 땀방울을 쏟아내며 열심히 운동을 하고 있습니다.

임시공휴일을 하루 앞둔 8일 창원축구센터 내 풋살장에서는 창원공단에 소재하고 있는 삼미금속 직원들이 퇴근 후 풋살을 하고 있었습니다.

김경남 삼미금속 대표이사는 지난해 2월 말단에서 시작해 대표이사로  승진하면서 삼미금속 역사의 한 페이지를 장식했습니다.

당시 김 대표는 취임식을 따로 가지지는 않았지만 취임사를 통해 "회사의 대표가 아닌 오랫동안 함께 동고동락해 온, 큰형으로 생각해 달라고 말했던" 그가 말이 아닌 행동으로 실천해 보이고 있습니다.

이날 함께 운동을 한 직원 중 한 사람은 "매주 화요일마다 여기에서 풋살로 단합대회를 진행합니다. 처음엔 대표님이 어려워 접대축구를 했는데 함께 뛰면서 대표님의 진심을 알게 되었다"며 "비록 회사 경영은 예전 같지 않지만 칼퇴근을 도입하고 우리의 입장을 잘 알고 있는 것 같다"며 "사내 분위기 만큼은 최고라"고 말했습니다.

김경남 대표는 "코로나가 3년 차로 접어들면서 어느 것 하나 넉넉하지 않지만 이럴 때 일수록 단합하지 않으면 안된다는 것을 직원들도 알고 군소리 없이 따라주는 동생같은 직원들이 그저 고마울 뿐"이라고 말했습니다.
