▲ 창원경상대병원, 일반인 대상 심폐소생술 심화 무료교육

[브레이크뉴스=황철성 기자] 창원경상국립대병원(병원장 황수현)이 ‘세계 심장의 날’을 기념해 지역사회 응급대처 능력 향상을 위한 사회공헌사업 일환으로 지역의 일반인을 대상으로 심폐소생술(CPR)무료 교육을 실시했다고 20일 밝혔다.

병원은 지난달 10월 25일과 지난 1일, 15일 등 세차례 실시한 이번 교육은 대한심폐소생협회의 가이드라인에 따라 다년간의 경험을 갖춘 원내 의료진으로 구성된 전문 강사진이 참여해 진행됐다.

이번 교육에는 학생, 교사, 수상인명구조요원, 회사원 등 다양한 직군의 30여명이 참여했다.

참가자들은 실습 중심 과정을 통해 심정지 발생 시 대처 능력, 자동심장충격기(AED)사용법, 기도·폐쇄 응급처치 등 생명을 구하는 데 필요한 핵심 기술을 직접 익히며 실제 상황에서의 대응 능력을 높였다.

이번 교육을 진행한 창원경상국립대병원 남국진 간호사는 “이번 교육이 지역사회 구성원들의 심폐소생술에 대한 정확한 이해를 높이고, 실제 위급 상황 발생 시 신속하고 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 역량을 크게 강화하는 계기가 되기를 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 안전한 지역사회 조성에 기여하겠다”고 전했다.

한편 창원경상국립대병원은 2016년 개원이후부터 대한심폐소생협회 공식 인증 BLS_TS(Training Site)를 운영하고 있으며, 지역사회 의료인과 예비의료인을 비롯한 학생과 일반인을 대상으로도 표준화된 심폐소생술 교육을 지속적으로 제공해 지역 CPR교육 거점 의료기관으로서의 역할을 수행해오고 있다.

Changwon Gyeongsang National University Hospital (Director Hwang Soo-hyun) announced on the 20th that it provided free cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training to the general public as part of a social contribution project to enhance community emergency response capabilities in commemoration of World Heart Day.

The hospital conducted the training three times—on October 25th, October 1st, and October 15th—in accordance with the guidelines of the Korean Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Association and was led by a team of expert instructors comprised of experienced medical staff.

Approximately 30 participants from various professions, including students, teachers, lifeguards, and office workers, participated in the training.

Through a hands-on approach, participants learned core lifesaving skills, including responding to cardiac arrest, using an automated external defibrillator (AED), and treating airway obstruction. This hands-on course enhanced their ability to respond in real-life situations.

Nam Kook-jin, a nurse at Changwon Gyeongsang National University Hospital who conducted the training, said, "I hope this training will enhance the accurate understanding of CPR among community members and significantly strengthen their ability to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency situation. Since its opening in 2016, Changwon Gyeongsang National University Hospital has operated a BLS_TS (Body Loss Resuscitation Training Site) officially certified by the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
