[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 도지사가 5일 양산시 웅상지역을 방문해 “양산 웅상지역은 경남 전체에서 발전 잠재력이 가장 큰 지역”이라며 “교통‧산업‧문화복지 인프라를 두루 갖춘 명실상부한 도시로 도약할 수 있도록 경남도가 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

 

박 지사는 이날 양산시 초청으로 열린 ‘동부양산 시민과의 대화’에서 “도시가 급격히 성장하면서 생활 편의시설이 다소 부족한 측면이 있었지만, 지역에서 스포츠센터 등 다양한 시설 확충을 구상하고 있다”며 이같이 말했다.

 

이어 “그런 시설들이 갖춰지면 어디에 내놔도 손색없는 도시가 될 것”이라며 “경남도에서도 적극적으로 함께 하겠다”고 강조했다.

 

이날 간담회는 웅상문화체육센터에서 열렸으며, 박완수 도지사를 비롯해 나동연 양산시장과 지역 주민 280여 명이 참석해 지역 현안에 대해 허심탄회한 대화를 나눴다.

이날 주민들은 이외에도 △회야 5지구 하천재해예방사업의 시 위탁 추진, △동부행정타운 소방서 건립 조속 추진, △양산수목원 조성 지원, △용당역사지구 문화관광벨트 조성 지원 등 다양한 생활 밀착형 현안을 제안했다.

 

박 지사는 “현장에서 제시된 의견을 면밀히 검토해 실질적인 개선으로 이어지도록 하겠다”며 “도민이 체감할 수 있는 정책으로 모두가 희망을 품고 살아가는 경남을 만들어 가겠다”고 강조했다.

 

한편, 박 지사는 간담회에 앞서 양산시 용당동 대운산생태숲을 찾아 ‘양산수목원’ 조성 현장을 둘러보고, 양방항노화 힐링체험관인 ‘숲애서(愛徐)’ 시설을 직접 점검했다. ‘숲애서’는 운동 테라피, 수(水) 치유실 등 다양한 힐링 프로그램을 갖춘 산림휴양시설로, 지난해 기준 약 2만 명이 방문했다.
