[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 31일 창원시종합자원봉사센터에서 30여 명의 자원봉사자가 참여한 가운데 취약계층을 위한 여름나기 키트 250세트를 제작해 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 사업은 나눔 캠페인의 일환으로 취약계층 시원한 여름나기 2차 ‘희망여름, 착!착!착’ 사업으로 경남사회복지공동모금회가 주관하고 경상남도자원봉사센터와의 연계·협업하여 추진되었다. 

이번 여름나기 키트는 쿨매트와 여름이불를 비롯해 서큘레이터, 팔토시, 미숫가루, 햇반 등 폭염 대응에 실질적으로 도움이 되는 생필품들로 구성하였으며, 무더위에도 불구하고 창원시대학생봉사단과 케이워터기술(주)창원권사업소 직원들이 키트제작에 참여해 의미를 더했다. 

완성된 여름나기 키트는 기후위기에 취약한 한 부모가정과 장애인가정 250세대에 전달될 예정이며, 폭염대응 안내문도 함께 제공하고 취약계층의 건강상태와 생활환경을 확인하는 등 안전관리에도 만전을 기할 계획이다.

정숙이 자치행정국장은 “매년 여름 폭염으로 인해 어려움을 겪는 취약계층이 많아 안타까웠다”며 ＂이번 여름나기 키트 지원을 통해 무더위에 지친 이웃들이 건강하고 시원하게 여름을 보내는 데 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
