[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 7일 시청 접견실에서 ‘도시 생물다양성 보전을 위한 제4차 민‧관‧산‧학 업무협약식’을 개최했다.

이날 협약식에는 장금용 창원특례시장 권한대행, 장재성 효성중공업 총괄공장장, 전준호 경남녹색환경지원센터장, 이학은 창원시지속가능발전협의회장 등이 참석했으며, 효성중공업과 경남녹색환경지원센터가 신규 협약기관으로 참여했다.

시는 2020년부터 민‧관‧산‧학 협력을 통해 생물다양성 보전 활동을 활발히 전개하고 있으며, 이번 협약으로 총 14개 기관이 참여하게 됐다. 참여 기관들은 생태조사, 멸종위기종 보호, 생태계교란종 제거 등 다양한 생태계 보전 사업을 지속적으로 전개할 예정이다.

특히, 이번 협약을 통해 효성중공업은 생물종 보호사업 지원 및 임직원 참여를, 경남녹색환경지원센터는 시민 생태교육을 지원하게 되어 지역 기반 협력이 한층 더 강화될 것으로 기대된다.
