[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시설공단은 19일 각 시설 에너지 지킴이 20여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2025년 상반기 탄소중립추진위원회’를 개최했다.

이경균 이사장 직무대행 주재로 열린 이번 회의에서는 공단의 2025년도 탄소중립 및 온실가스 배출 저감 계획을 공유하고 여름철 에너지이용 합리화 추진 방안 등을 논의했다. 

이날 회의에서는 공단 자체 온실가스 목표 관리제에 맞춰 전기, 도시가스, LPG, 상·하수도에 대한 온실가스 배출량을 지난해 대비 각각 5% 감축키로 했다.

창원시설공단이 관리하고 있는 수영장과 빙상장 등은 여름철 에너지 사용이 많은 곳으로 이를 중점 관리해 온실가스 배출량을 최소화 하면서도 여름철 무더위 쉼터로 사용 빈도를 높여 시민들에게 유익한 환경을 제공할 계획이다.

이경균 이사장 직무대행은 “이번 위원회를 통해 논의된 사항들을 적극 실천하고, 탄소중립을 위해 다양한 노력을 기울여 줄 것”을 당부했다.
