▲ 경남연구원에서 도시재생 4.0 정책포럼을 개최했다.

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 16일 경남연구원에서 도시재생 4.0 정책포럼을 개최하고, 새 정부 도시정책 변화에 대응한 도시재생의 새로운 방향을 논의했다.

 

경상남도와 양산시가 공동 주최하고 경상남도 도시재생지원센터와 양산시 도시재생지원센터가 공동 주관한 이번 포럼은 국토교통부 도시재생사업단장과 청와대 국토비서관을 지낸 김이탁 (현) (사)도시와미래연구소 이사장의 기조 발제를 시작으로 도시재생 분야 전문가들이 참여해 담론을 이어갔다.

 

김이탁 이사장은 도시재생 4.0은 성과 중심의 도시정책으로 전환되는 중요한 계기라며, 민간참여 확대와 지역 맞춤형 전략이 무엇보다 중요하다고 강조했다.

 

이날 포럼에서 이상준 박사(LH토지주택연구원)와 박진석 교수(경남대학교)가 각각 도시재생 정책의 과제와 실현 방안을 주제로 발표했다.

 

이어 김동호 단장((사)도시재생협치포럼), 안정희 이사장((사)균형성장혁신), 김복곤 경상남도 도시정책과장 등이 정책토론에 참여해 현장의 목소리와 실행 전략을 공유했다.

 

경남도는 대한민국 도시재생의 대표 사례인 창원시 오동동 시범사업(Test Bed)을 포함해, 2014년부터 도시재생 선도지역으로 지정되며 도시재생의 출발점 역할을 해왔다. 

 

현재 도내 도시재생사업 대상지는 전국에서 두 번째로 많으며, 다양한 지역 활동가들이 주도적으로 참여하고 있다.

 

이번 정책포럼에서 제시된 의견과 정책 제안은 국정기획위원회에 전달될 예정이며, 향후 도시재생 4.0 정책 수립에 중요한 참고자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.

 

경남도 김복곤 도시정책과장은 “도시재생은 도민 삶의 질과 직결된 중요한 과제”라며 “경남이 선도적으로 도시재생 4.0의 방향을 제시하고 실효성 있는 정책이 채택되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Gyeongsangnam-do has been designated as a leading urban regeneration region since 2014, including the Changwon Odong-dong pilot project (Test Bed), a representative case of urban regeneration in Korea, and has served as a starting point for urban regeneration.

 

Currently, the province has the second largest number of urban regeneration project sites in the country, and various local activists are actively participating.
