[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 농림축산식품부가 주관한 ‘2026년 일반농산어촌개발사업’ 공모에 밀양시, 김해시가 선정됐다고 16일 밝혔다.

 

이번 선정으로 해당 지역의 주요 거점과 배후 마을에 부족한 생활 서비스 기능을 확충하고 전달하는 농촌개발사업을 추진할 수 있게 됐다.

 

이번 공모는 소재지 중심으로 한정되었던 공간을 인근 읍면까지 생활권으로 엮어 사업대상지를 확대한 통합형 사업을 도입하여 중심지는 물론 인근 읍면까지 종합적으로 개발할 수 있도록 했다.

 

이를 통해 농촌지역의 생활서비스 개선 및 다양한 문화, 복지, 교육 등의 특화된 서비스 기능제공으로 농촌의 활력 창출 및 지속가능성 확보를 도모하게 된다.

이번에 농촌중심지활성화사업 통합형에 선정된 밀양시는 중심지를 하남읍으로 하고 인근 초동면을 배후지로 하여 총 300억 원을 투입한다.

 

주요 사업으로는 하남읍 영유아 및 청소년 돌봄 서비스 확충과 노년층의 건강·활력 서비스 향상을 위해 3층 규모의 복합타운 조성(118억 원), 초동면의 폐교된 봉황초등학교 부지를 활용하여 농촌체험관광 활성화를 위한 전시장, 체험농장 조성(103억 원), 주민공동체 활동 지원 및 주민역량강화, 사업관리비 등에 79억 원을 투입할 계획이다.

 

김해시는 농촌중심지활성화사업 기본형으로 선정되었으며 주촌면행정복지센터가 구도심에서 신도심으로 이전하여 공실로 남겨진 구 주촌면행정복지센터를 리모델링하여 부족한 아동 및 청장년층의 문화․복지 서비스 향상과 김해시의 다양한 문화, 예술활동가들과 주민 동아리 활동을 지원하는 공간으로 조성하는 주촌로컬라이프센터 리모델링(45억 원)을 지원한다.

 

아울러, 노령층의 건강관리, 여가, 사회참여 활동을 지원하기 위해 노후된 주촌면복지관을 리모델링하는 주촌시니어서비스센터 조성(36억 원), 행정복지센터와 주촌복지관을 접근성 향상을 위해 보행로 개선(5억 원)과 주민역량강화(43억 원) 등을 포함하여 총 130억 원을 지원한다.

 

이정곤 경남도 농정국장은 “이번 공모에 선정된 것을 계기로 낙후되고 소멸화가 가속화되는 농촌 주민들의 삶의 질과 각종 서비스 수준을 한층 더 높여 머무르는 농촌뿐만 아니라 돌아오는 농촌을 만들 수 있도록 시군과 긴밀히 협조하고 원활한 사업 추진을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
