이번 공모는 최근 5년 이내 주요 학술지에 게재되었거나 진료지침 제정, 치료법 개발 등 의학 발전에 실질적인 공적이 있는 자를 대상으로 하며, 대상 1명에 상금 1억 원, 우수상 5명에 각 1,000만 원의 상금을 시상한다.
