[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 한국남동발전은 10일 진주시 수곡면 소재의 장애인 직업재활시설인 ‘사랑그림숲’에서 강기윤 한국남동발전 사장을 비롯한 임직원 나눔봉사단, CSV 모니터단이 참여한 가운데, 농촌일손돕기 봉사활동을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.

 

강 사장을 비롯한 봉사단원들은 사랑 그림 숲에서 운영하는 농장에 천연 수세미 1,000주를 파종하고, 지지대를 설치했다. 또한, 비닐하우스에서 참나무 버섯 원목 통을 세우고, 꽃 화단을 조성하는 활동을 펼치며, 구슬땀을 흘렸다.

 

이번에 심은 천연 수세미는 오는 10월에 수확한 후 한국남동발전에서 전량 구매해 지역사회 복지시설 등에 기부하고, 기부받은 복지시설에서는 천연 수세미를 교육 용품으로 활용해 친환경 소비문화 확산과 생활 속 플라스틱 줄이기 실천에 앞장설 예정이다. 

 

또한, 사랑 그림 숲에서 운영 중인 장애인카페를 위한 베리어 프리 키오스크 구입 비용도 후원했다. 배리어프리 키오스크는 장애인·고령자 등 사회적 약자의 편의를 고려해 음성출력, 안면인식, 수어영상 안내, 점자기능 등이 내장되어 있다. 

 

이날 봉사활동에서 직접 수세미 모종과 화분을 심은 강기윤 사장은 베리어프리 키오스크를 기증하며, 사회적 약자들의 자립을 응원했다.
