[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 지난 8일 창원실내수영장에서 제19회 장애인곰두리수영대회를 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이번 대회에는 장애인 선수와 가족, 자원봉사자, 해군특수전전단(UDT/SEAL) 장병 등 200여 명이 참여했다. 

(사)창원시장애인부모회(회장 장연정) 주관으로 개최된 이번 대회는 올해 19회째로 장애인들이 수영을 통해 신체 감각을 키우고, 자존감 향상을 통해 정서적 안정의 효과가 있을 뿐 아니라 집단 활동으로 사회성 향상의 기회도 제공한다.

대회는 해군특수전전단 장병들의 수영 시범을 시작으로 종목별 경기와 번외 경기로 진행되었으며, 현장에는 타투 스티커, 컬러 팔찌 공예, 달고나 체험 등 다양한 부대행사도 마련되어 참가자들과 가족들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
