[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 28일 현재 창원시 인구는 995,575명으로 인구감소 및 초고령사회·축소사회 대응을 위한 실효성 있는 정책 논의를 위해 2025년 제2차 창원시 인구정책 분과위원회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

 

시는 실무 중심의 심층 논의를 강화하기 위해 올해 처음으로 ‘혁신’분과와 ‘활력’분과 두 개의 분과위원회를 신설하였으며, 각 분과 회의는 상·하반기별로 2회 이상 개최될 계획이다.

 

이번 회의는 활력분과 위원장 선출에 이어 창원시 인구정책 중 하나인 ‘신혼부부 전세자금 대출이자 지원사업’이 창원시 인구증감 및 인구구조변화에 미치는 영향을 주제로 심층적인 논의를 했다.

 

먼저 창원시정연구원 구본우 박사가 해당 사업에 대한 연구결과와 시민 인식조사 결과를 발표하였으며, 이어 참여한 분과위원들은 정책의 순기능과 역기능, 시민 만족도, 사업 규모의 적정성, 향후 개선방향 등을 중심으로 활발한 토론을 이어나갔다.
