기존의 북구마을 스마트워크센터에 더해 올해부터는 남구마을 굴밭기미리조트에서도 섬택근무를 운영해 더 많은 인원을 수용한다.
2022년 처음 시작된 두미도 섬택근무는 공무원·공기관을 대상으로 한 휴가지 원격 근무(워케이션) 형태의 새로운 근무 모델이다. 틀에 박힌 근무 문화의 혁신을 촉진하고, 섬에서의 다양한 체험과 프로그램 참여를 통해 섬 지역 경제 활성화에도 기여하고 있다.
두미도는 배편(하루 2편)이 많지 않은 섬마을이지만, 인터넷 등 장비가 잘 설치되어 있어 문제없이 원격근무가 가능하고, 수려한 한려해상의 바다 경치를 고스란히 담은 두미도에서의 섬택근무는 직원들의 아이디어 창출과 스트레스 해소에도 큰 도움이 되고 있다.
