[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 미세먼지를 줄이고 대기환경을 개선하기 위한 ‘2025년 전기자동차 보급사업’을 예년보다 1개월 앞당겨 이달 초부터 실시한다고 밝혔다.

 

지난해 대비 180% 늘어난 1만 8,000여 대(승용 1만 2천여 대, 화물 4천여 대, 승합 200여 대, 이륜 1천여 대)를 보급할 계획이다. 

 

보조금은 환경부의 ‘2025년 전기자동차 보급사업 보조금 업무처리지침’에 따라 차량별 차등 적용된다.

 

올해 전기자동차 보급사업 보조금 지침은 전기차 안전성 강화와 성능향상을 위주로 차량별 보조금을 지원하도록 개편했다. 

 

특히, 배터리 충전정보 제공, 주차 중 이상 감지·알림 기능 등을 장착한 차량에 더 많은 보조금이 산정된다.

 

청년(19세 이상 34세 이하)이 생애 첫 자동차를 전기 승용차로 구매하는 경우 국고보조금을 20% 추가지원하고, 다자녀가구는 자녀 수에 따라 최대 300만 원까지 지원된다.

 

전기 화물차는 주요 구매자인 소상공인, 차상위 이하 계층, 농업인에게 보조금을 10% 추가 지원하는 등 실수요자의 구매 부담을 완화해 보급을 확대해 나갈 방침이다.

 

시군별 누리집을 통해 전기자동차 보급사업 공고문을 게시하고, 이달 초부터 신청을 접수할 계획이다. 보조금 신청은 자동차 제조(수입)사와 구매계약을 체결하고, 온라인 ‘무공해차 구매보조금 지원시스템’에서 하면 된다.

 

경남도는 원활한 사업 추진을 위해 지난달 17일 시군 담당자 간담회에서 보조금 개편내용과 추진 방향 등을 설명하고 협조 사항을 공유한 후, 21일 2025년도 전기자동차 보급사업 추진계획을 수립했다.

 

박성준 교통건설국장은 “전기차 보급사업은 탄소중립 실현과 전기차 대중화를 위해 중요한 사업으로 예년보다 빠르게 진행되는 만큼 차질 없이 진행될 수 있도록 도와 시군이 최선을 다해 추진하겠다”라고 말했다.

 

한편, 국토교통부가 발표한 2024년 기준 자동차 등록 대수 현황에서 경남도의 전기차 누적 등록 대수는 4만6,628대로, 전년 말(36,225대) 기준 1만403대가 증가했다.
