[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시가 지역통계를 조사한 결과 2023년 창원시 여성인구는 49만8,405명으로 창원시 전체 인구의 49.4%를 차지하며 성비는 102.5명으로 전국 99.2명보다 3.3명 높은 것으로 나타났다.

 

창원시는 근거 기반의 정책 수립을 지원하고 행정의 전문성과 실효성을 강화하기 위해 2024년 여성통계, 청년통계, 경제지표조사에 대한 결과를 31일 공표했다.

 

여성 통계와 청년통계는 각종 행정통계를 기반으로 조사통계를 보완해 적용한 가공통계로 여성과 청년의 분야별 실태 파악과 전반적 사회 상황을 진단해 여성친화도시 추진 및 청년 정책 수립을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

 

경제지표조사는 올해 6회째 실시한 조사통계로 표본으로 추출된 1,000개 제조업체에 대한 방문 면접조사를 통해 창원시 제조업체의 운영 현황과 경제 여건 등을 파악해 각종 경제정책 수립과 연구분석의 기초자료로 사용될 예정이다.

2023년 12월 31일 기준 창원시 주민등록 인구 중 여성에 대한 인구, 가구·가족, 주거복지, 경제참여, 사회참여, 건강, 안전 등 8개 분야 95개 항목에 대한 현황을 담았다.

 

보고서에 따르면, 2023년 창원시 여성인구는 49만8,405명으로 지역별로는 성산구가 12만149명으로 여성인구가 가장 많으나, 여성인구 비율은 마산합포구가 50.3%로 가장 높은 특성을 나타냈다.

2023년 말 기준 창원시 거주 만 19~39세 청년을 대상으로 인구, 주택, 건강, 복지, 고용 등 5개 분야 81개 항목에 대한 통계 결과를 담았다.

2023년 말 기준 제조업 업체에 대한 일반현황, 인력현황, 경영현황, 업종현황 및 전망, 자율항목 등 6개 부문 37개 항목에 대한 조사 결과를 담고 있다.

 

그 결과를 보면, 2023년 창원시 제조업체 수는 1만3,858개로 업종별로는 1차금속·금속가공업이 가장 많고 다음으로 기계·장비업이 높은 비중을 차지하는 것으로 나타났다.

 

종사자 규모에 따른 사업체 수는 4명 이하의 규모에서 9,134개로 가장 많았으며 대표자의 평균 연령은 55.8세로 연령 별로는 60대 이상이 40.2%로 가장 많았고 다음으로 50대 37.9%, 40대 14.8% 등의 순으로 나타났다.

 

현재 인력의 적절성에 대해 79.4%는 ‘적절하다’, 17.5%는 ‘부족하다’라고 응답했으며 ‘인력부족’ 이 가장 높은 업종은 자동차/기타운송장비 이었으며 인력 확보가 어려운 주된 이유로는 ‘임금 및 근로조건이 구직자의 기대와 맞지 않음’ 이 가장 높았다.
