[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 두산에너빌리티가 창원상공회의소와 함께 에너지 취약계층 지원금 1억 8,000만원을 창원시에 전달했다. 

 

지난 17일 두산에너빌리티 창원본사 게스트하우스에서 진행된 ‘창원특례시 에너지 취약계층 지원금 전달식’에는 홍남표 창원시장, 최재호 창원상공회의소 회장, 정연인 두산에너빌리티 부회장 등 관계자들이 참석했다.

 

두산에너빌리티와 창원상의가 전달한 기부금은 지역 내 에너지 취약계층의 난방비를 지원하는 데 사용될 예정이다. 

 

지급 대상은 에너지바우처를 사용하는 4인 이상 가구로, 1,450세대에 달할 것으로 예상된다.

 

두산에너빌리티는 에너지 사업과 연계한 사회공헌활동으로 지난 2022년부터 에너지 취약계층 지원사업을 실시해 왔다.

 

에너지 취약계층 지원사업은 겨울철 난방비 부담으로 어려움을 겪는 저소득 취약계층을 돕기 위한 프로그램으로, 올해는 전년 대비 지원 대상자가 확대되고, 지원금도 늘었다.

 

최재호 창원상공회의소 회장은 “취약계층에 온기가 전달되기 바란다”며 “지역사회 이웃에게 가까이 다가가는 창원상공회의소가 되겠다”고 말했다.

 

홍남표 창원시장은 “지역사회를 위한 두산에너빌리티와 창원상공회의소의 꾸준한 관심과 따뜻한 나눔 활동에 깊은 감사를 전한다”며 “소외된 이웃을 촘촘히 살피는 복지정책 추진으로 시민 모두가 안전하고 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
