경남도는 당초 정부예산안 확정 이후 국회상황실을 운영하며 국회단계 국비 추가 증액을 위해 전방위 활동을 펼쳤으나, 정부 예산안이 10일 국회 본회의에서 최종 의결됨에 따라 2025년 경남도 국비 확보액은 기존 정부예산안에 반영된 9조 6,082억 원으로 확정됐다.

또한 경상남도 우주항공 농식품 산업 육성 사업(3억), 외국인근로자 정착지원 복합센터 건립(3억), 부산항 신항 항만 근로자 후생복지시설 건립(1억), 양식장 유해생물 자원화센터 건립(10억) 등 신규사업 예산 확정으로 미래 성장동력을 확보하게 됐다.

 

한편, 경남도는 최근 정치상황 등으로 인해 정부예산에 반영되지 못한 사업은 면밀히 분석해 대응방안을 수립하는 한편 향후 정부 추경이 있을 시 반영하거나2026년 정부예산안에 포함될 수 있도록 대비할 방침이다.

 

도 관계자는 “중요 사업들이 정부 원안에 반영된 뒤 삭감 없이 국회를 통과해 다행이지만, 일부 사업 증액 불발로 국회단계 노력에 대한 아쉬움도 크다”며 “조속히 국비 추가 확보가 이뤄질 수 있도록 정부계획에 맞춰 대응전략을 마련할 계획이다.”라고 말했다.
