[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] (재)경남투자경제진흥원은 9일 창원컨벤션센터에서 ‘2024년 제2차 경남 민생경제 포럼’을 개최했다.

 

이번 포럼은 경남의 경제 현안 중 하나인 지역 소상공인의 어려움을 공유하고, 소상공인의 발전과 경쟁력을 강화할 실질적인 방안을 모색하는 자리로 마련됐다.

 

첫 번째 발표는 경남신용보증재단 김종석 차장이 ‘경남 소상공인 금융현황’을 주제로 소상공인들이 직면한 금융환경과 정책적 대응 방안을 공유했다. 

 

특히 최근 어려운 경제 상황 속에서 소상공인들이 느끼는 금융지원의 한계와 새로운 정책의 필요성을 강조했다.

 

이어 중소벤처기업연구원 정은애 연구위원이 ‘소상공인 지원 정책 패러다임 전환’이라는 주제로 기존 소상공인 지원정책들이 한정된 자원을 더 효율적으로 활용할 수 있도록 패러다임 전환의 필요성을 말했다. 

 

이를 통해 지속 가능한 지원 체계와 현장 맞춤형 정책을 설계하는 방안을 제시해 큰 관심을 받았다.

 

이번 포럼은 창원대학교 심상완 교수가 좌장을 맡아 진행했으며, 김무환(경남대학교), 남종석(경남연구원), 정연진(경남소상공인연합회), 강석범(BNK), 오현석(경상남도 소상공인정책과) 등이 토론자로 참여해 소상공인의 현안과 발전 방안에 대한 심도 있는 토론을 이어갔다.

 

경남도 관계자는 “경남도가 이번 논의를 바탕으로 소상공인들이 실제로 체감할 수 있는 지원정책을 개발하고, 현장과의 소통을 강화하여 실효성 있는 대응 방안을 마련하도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

 

한편, 이번 민생경제포럼에는 각 시군 소상공인지원부서·유관기관 관계자 등 40명이 참석해 민생경제 회복을 위한 노력에 뜻을 모았다.

 

경남투자경제진흥원 오재호 원장은 “이번 포럼을 통해 소상공인들이 직면한 금융문제와 정책적 한계점을 점검하고, 보다 실효성 있는 지원 방안을 마련할 수 있었다”며 “소상공인들이 경제의 중심에서 성장할 수 있도록 지속적인 관심과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

(Re)Gyeongnam Investment & Economic Promotion Agency held the '2024 2nd Gyeongnam People's Economy Forum' at Changwon Convention Center on the 9th.

 

This forum was designed to share the difficulties of local small business owners, one of Gyeongnam's current economic issues, and to seek practical measures to strengthen the development and competitiveness of small business owners.

 

The first presentation was given by Gyeongnam Credit Guarantee Foundation Deputy Director Kim Jong-seok, who shared the financial environment and policy response measures faced by small business owners under the theme of 'Current Status of Small Business Finance in Gyeongnam'.

 

In particular, he emphasized the limitations of financial support felt by small business owners and the need for new policies amid the recent difficult economic situation.

 

Following this, Researcher Jeong Eun-ae of the Small and Medium Venture Business Research Institute spoke on the theme of 'Paradigm Shift in Small Business Support Policies' and spoke about the need for a paradigm shift so that existing small business support policies can utilize limited resources more efficiently.

 

This attracted a lot of attention by suggesting a plan to design a sustainable support system and customized policies on the ground.

 

This forum was moderated by Professor Sim Sang-wan of Changwon National University, and Kim Moo-hwan (Kyungnam University), Nam Jong-seok (Kyungnam Research Institute), Jeong Yeon-jin (Kyungnam Small Business Association), Kang Seok-beom (BNK), and Oh Hyeon-seok (Kyungnam Small Business Policy Division) participated as discussants to continue an in-depth discussion on the current issues and development plans for small business owners.

 

A Gyeongnam official said, “Based on this discussion, Gyeongnam will develop support policies that small business owners can actually feel, and will work to strengthen communication with the field to devise effective response measures.”

 

Meanwhile, 40 people including officials from each city and county’s small business support department and related organizations attended this livelihood economy forum and shared their determination to work toward the recovery of the people’s economy.

 

Oh Jae-ho, the head of Gyeongnam Investment & Economic Promotion Agency, said, “Through this forum, we were able to examine the financial issues and policy limitations that small business owners face, and devise more effective support measures.” He added, “We will not spare our continued interest and support so that small business owners can grow at the center of the economy.”
