[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 경남도가 주관한 2024년 산림휴양시설 조성·운영분야 평가에서 ‘월아산 숲속의 진주’가 최우수상을 수상, 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 1위를 차지했다고 2일 밝혔다.

이번 평가는 예산 집행 속도, 신규 사업 발굴, 안전관리 계획, 홍보 활동 등을 포함한 다양한 부문에서 각 시군의 산림복지 서비스 확장 노력을 종합적으로 평가하는 방식으로 진행됐다. 

진주시는 SNS를 통한 활발한 홍보와 기존 시설 기능 강화, 이용객 만족도 증대 등으로 높은 점수를 받았다.

특히 시는 공공기관과의 그린협약 체결과 정원문화 확산, 산림복지·교육 서비스 향상에 기여한 점이 우수사례로 인정받았다.

진주시 관계자는 “월아산의 산림 자원을 적극 발굴해 방문객들에게 다양한 산림복지 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 최선을 다 하겠다”고 말했다.
