[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창문화원은 지난 25일 ‘거창문화원 울림소리 풍물패’가 제15회 경상남도지사기 어르신 농악경연대회에서 거창군 대표로 출전해 대상(도지사상)을 수상했다고 29일 밝혔다.

경남도지사기 어르신 농악경연대회는 지역의 전통예술 놀이 기반을 다지며 경남지역 농악의 우수성을 계승, 발전시키고 지역 간 문화교류를 촉진하기 위해 경남문화원연합회에서 매년 주최하는 행사다. 이번 대회는 밀양강 둔치에서 개최되었으며, 19개 팀 800여 명이 참여해 갈고 닦은 기량을 마음껏 뽐내며 열띤 경합을 펼쳤다. 

‘거창문화원 울림소리 풍물패’는 이번 대회에서 ‘거창 매구굿’을 흥과 멋이 어우러진 신명 나는 풍물 공연을 선보이며 대상의 영예를 안았다.

안철우 거창문화원장은 “이번 수상은 어려운 환경 속에서도 단원들이 한마음으로 열심히 연습한 결과이다. 단원들에게 깊이 감사드리며, 앞으로도 우리의 농악이 널리 전승되도록 지속적인 지원과 관심을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.

한편 거창문화원 울림소리 풍물패는 이종진 지도 강사의 지도 아래 김지태 단장 외 34명의 단원으로 구성되어 활동하고 있으며, 지역의 크고 작은 행사에 참여해 활발한 전통문화 계승 활동을 하고 있다.
