[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경남도지사가 15일 오전 경남도청 신관 대강당에서 열린 ‘제72주년 재향군인의 날 행사’에 참석해 향토방위와 지역발전을 위해 헌신한 재향군인을 격려했다.

이날 행사는 박완수 도지사, 최학범 경남도의회 의장 등 도의원, 도내 주요 기관‧보훈단체장, 재향군인 회원 등 300여 명이 참석했으며, 안보강연을 시작으로 향군인의 다짐, 유공자 시상 및 장학증서 수여, 안보결의문 채택 및 낭독 순으로 진행됐다.

유공자 시상에는 정인규 경남재향군인회 회장이 국민포장을 전수받았으며, 김춘식 창원특례시 마산합포‧회원구재향군인회 공군부회장이 도지사 표창을 수여받는 등 투철한 안보의식과 지역사회 봉사 정신으로 국가안보관 확립에 기여한 재향군인회 회원 총 16명이 수상의 영예를 안았다.
