[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 보건복지부가 주최하는 ‘2024년 장애인 건강보건통합성과대회’에서 장애인 건강보건관리사업 우수기관으로 선정돼 보건복지부 장관상을 수상했다고 30일 밝혔다.

이번 수상은 진주시보건소가 장애인과 비장애인 간 건강수준 격차를 해소하고 재활서비스를 제공하는 등 장애인의 건강권 및 의료접근성 향상에 기여한 점을 높게 평가받은 결과다.

진주시보건소는 장애인의 건강증진을 위한 재가장애인 방문재활서비스, 재활기구 대여 서비스 및 기능회복을 위한 재활치료실 등을 운영하고 있다.

진주보건소 관계자는 “앞으로도 맞춤형 건강보건관리 서비스를 제공하고 보건소 내․외 자원과의 연계를 통해 지역장애인의 사회참여를 증진시키도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
