[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 창원컨벤션센터 컨벤션홀에서 '2024 한국실업사격연맹회장배 전국사격대회' 개회식을 개최했다고 24일 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 한국실업사격연맹이 주최하고 경남사격연맹이 주관하며, 23일부터 28일까지 6일간 창원국제사격장에서 진행된다. 김예지, 양지인, 오예진, 조영재, 금지현, 박하준 파리올림픽 메달리스트 등 총 238개 팀 1,500여 명의 선수와 관계자가 참가하는 국제대회로 전 종목에서 기량을 겨룬다. 

한국실업사격연맹회장배 전국사격대회는 2009년에 시작해 올해 16회째로, 13번의 대회를 사격 도시 창원에서 개최했다.

특히, 이번 대회는 올해 5월 대한사격연맹의 공인을 받아 메이저급 대회로 승격되어 중·고·대·일반인 팀들이 참가하는 메이저급 대회로 치러지며, 한국 사격의 기량을 발전시키는 중요한 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다. 대회에서 세운 기록들은 한국 사격의 현재 수준을 가늠하는 중요한 기준으로 인정받고 있다.
