[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시 북면 감계복지센터 수영장에서 유충이 발견돼 창원시가 경위파악에 나섰다.

 

당시 감계복지센터는 창원시에 관련 사항을 늑장보고해 논란이 일것으로 보인다.

 

지난 20일 오후 1시경 창원시 산하 시설공단에서 관리하는 북면 감계복지센터 수영장에서 안내요원에 의해 유충 25마리가 발견됐다.

 

이날 감계복지센터는 창원시에 관련 사항을 보고하지 않고 20일부터 21일 2일간 자체 유충 제거작업만 실시한 것으로 알려졌다.

 

이후 감계복지센터는 22일 오후 4시 30분경 칠서수질연구센터에 유충 확인여부를 의뢰하고, 오후 4시부터 수영장 휴관조치한 것으로 밝혀졌다.

 

시설공단 관계자는 오후 4시 13분경 창원시 관련 국장에게 유선으로 보고했으며, 국장은 4시 40분경에 관련 사항을 시장에게 보고한 것으로 알려지면서 경위파악에 나섰다.

 

감계복지센터 수영장에는 대산정수장의 강변여과수가 ‘북면배수지’를 통해 공급되고 있으며, 강변여과수에는 유충 등의 접근이 불가해 비교적 안전한 것으로 알려져 있다.

 

창원시는 유충발생 원인이 ‘북면배수지’ 문제인지, 수용가인 감계복지센터 자체저수조 오염때문인지 등을 밝히기 위해 검사에 착수했다.

 

이와 함께 아파트 등에 식수로 공급되는 물의 요염여부를 판단하기 위해 ‘북면배수지’의 유입부 및 유출부와 급수가정(10여곳)의 수도꼭지에 대한 점검을 22일  밤중에 실시한다.
