[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원특례시는 2022년 지원전시회 2건이 산업통상자원부 공모사업에 선정돼 ‘2022 경남국제낚시 및 해양레저산업 박람회(이하 GNFISH 2022)’에 1억 1500만원, ‘2022 창원국제 용접 및 절단자동화전(이하 WELDING KOREA 2022)’에 9000만원으로 총 2억 500만원의 국비를 지원받는다고 18일 밝혔다. 

 

이번 ‘지역특화전시회 지원 사업’은 코로나19의 장기화로 어려움에 직면한 비수도권의 지역 전시산업을 지원하고자 산업자원통산부가 올해 처음 도입한 공모사업이다. 시는 이번 공모사업으로 중소기업체에 수출 마케팅 기회를 제공하고 판로를 확장하여 지역경제에 활력을 가져올 것으로 보고 있다. 

 

‘GNFISH 2022’는 창원컨벤션센터에서 10월 7일~9일, 3일간 개최되며 낚시산업, 해양레저산업, 캠핑&아웃도어, 지자체 홍보관 전시 및 부대행사를 통해 창원의 독보적인 해양 인프라와 관광자원을 홍보하기 위해 열리는 해양레저 특화박람회이다. 이 행사는 도내에서 처음 개최되는 낚시박람회로서 지역 낚시산업 성장의 전환점이 될 것으로 기대된다. 

 

또한 최근 낚시 및 레저 여가활동 수요가 증가함에 따라 풍부한 잠재수요와 국비지원을 바탕으로 지속 가능한 행사를 만들어 나간다면 차기 수도권 이남을 대표하는 해양레저 산업박람회로 발전할 것으로 전망한다.

 

‘WELDING KOREA 2022’는 서울 코엑스에서 1989년 최초 개최 후 2009년 용접산업 메카인 경남 창원으로 이전하여 30년 역사를 자랑하는 국내 유일 용접 전문 전시회이다.

 

올해 20회째를 맞는 이번 행사는 창원컨벤션센터에서 10월 18일~21일까지 4일간 개최되며 용접 및 절단분야의 전세계적인 자동화 전환 추세에 발맞춰 전통적인 공구전시에 그치는 것이 아니라, 관련 수요업체의 니즈에 맞는 신제품과 신기술을 선보인다.

 

용접, 절단 자동화 기술의 최대 수요지인 창원에서 열리는 ‘WELDING KOREA 2022’는 이번 국비지원으로 기술집약형 뿌리산업의 최신 트렌드를 볼 수 있는 전문전시회를 구축하고, 국제 수준의 아시아 대표 용접, 절단 자동화 전시회로 발전하기 위한 초석이 될 것이다.
