[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 행정안전부에서 지역 현안 등 특별교부세를 6개 사업에 총 28억원을 확보해 재난안전 및 지역현안 사업추진에 탄력을 받게 되었다고 31일 밝혔다.

 

시가 이번에 확보한 특별교부세는 지난달 행안부를 방문하여 지역현안 사업의 추진을 위한 적극적인 재정 지원을 요청했던 사업들이다.

 

세부 확보내역은 집현 사촌사거리 회전교차로 설치사업 4억원, 진주 종합경기장 트랙보수 8억원, 새벼리 급경사지 정비공사 5억원 등 총 6건 28억원이다.

 

집현 사촌사거리는 통행우선권이 불명확해 교통사고가 빈번히 발생하던 지역이지만 이번 회전교차로 사업으로 교통흐름 개선 및 교통사고 예방에 큰 도움을 줄 것으로 시는 전망된다.

 

또 진주 종합경기장 트랙보수사업은 내년 진주시에서 개최하는 제64회 경상남도 도민체육대회의 성공적 운영의 밑거름이 될 것으로 시는 기대하고 있다.
