[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 23일 현대위아에서 관내 장애인 복지시설 등 5개 시설에, 5천만 원 상당의 농어촌상생협력기부물품 등을 전달했다고 밝혔다. 기부 품목은 지역농산물‧농산가공품으로 지역 농가 상생 활동의 일환으로 마련됐다.

 

창원시 성산구에 본사를 두고 있는 현대위아(대표 정재욱)는, 농업․농촌 및 소외계층 지원을 위해, 지난해 창원시와 업무 협약을 체결한 이후 지역 발전을 위해 꾸준히 활동하고 있다.

 

이에 앞서 지난 5월에는 임직원 대상 직거래장터를 개최하여, 우리 지역농산물 소비에 앞장섰으며, 이번 행사를 통해 혹서기 취약계층의 여름나기를 위한 쌀, 김치, 과일 등을 기부했다. 기부 물품은 관내 장애인 복지시설 등에 전달되어 양질의 식사를 제공하는데 사용될 예정이다.

 

창원시는 이번 행사에 이어 올 하반기에도 기업과 농업 간 동반성장 문화 확산에 중점을 두고, 현대위아와 함께 농촌일손돕기, 이음마켓 등 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 확대 추진해 나갈 계획이다.
