[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남경찰청은 경남자치경찰위원회와 함께 도로 위 평온한 일상확보를 위해 3월 1일부터 4월 30일까지 2개월간 교통안전특별대책을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

 

이번 교통안전특별대책은 경찰청의 정책 방향에 따라 전국단위로 진행하게되며, 도민들의 불안감을 증폭하는 음주운전·화물차·이륜차의 난폭운전에 대한 단속과 홍보를 강화한다. 

 

이어 앞서 경남경찰청에서 자체 분석한 결과, 지난 1년간 112신고로 접수된 음주운전 의심 건은 총 4,755건이며, 그중 751건은 운전면허 행정처분 등으로 조치했다.

 

이러한 실태를 반영해 음주운전 의심 112신고 접수가 많은 토요일과 평일 낮 시간대에도 도내 전 경찰서에서 교통경찰과 도경찰청 기동단속팀(암행순찰·싸이카팀) 및 기동순찰대가 합동으로 단속을 실시할 예정이다. 

 

또한, 화물차에 대해서도 대형공사장 주변과 고속도로, 일반국도 중심으로 법규위반 행위뿐 아니라 과적, 추락방지조치 위반 등 교통안전 위협 요인에 대해서도 집중적으로 단속할 예정이다.

 

이륜차에 대해서는 무등록운행, 인도·횡단보도 주행 등에 대해 중점적으로 단속하게 되며 특히, 무인단속장비를 활용한 이륜차 단속은 시범·계도기간이 종료되는 오는 4월 1일부터 신호·속도위반, 안전모 미착용 등에 대해 본격적인 단속이 진행될 예정이며, 현재 총 6개소에 단속 장비를 설치 완료했다.
