[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해시는 전국 최초로 가연성 생활폐기물 중 일반폐기물과 폐비닐·폐플라스틱류 폐기물의 분리 배출 시범사업을 7일부터 3개월 간 관내 아파트 4개 단지를 대상으로 시행한다고 밝혔다.

이번 시범사업은 기존 종량제 봉투에 배출하던 재활용이 불가능한 폐비닐·폐플라스틱류 폐기물의 수거를 위해 전용 수거 봉투를 시에서 7만장을 제작해 시범사업 아파트 단지 5,489세대에 무상으로 제공하고 수거한 폐비닐·폐플라스틱류는 아파트 단지별 배출량과 폐기물성상 분석을 통해 우리시에 적합한 공공열분해시설을 설치하기 위해 실시한다.

앞선 1월 김해시는 정부의 재활용을 통한 순환경제 활성화 일환인 환경부 공공열분해시설 국고보조 공모사업에 선정됐고 지난 6월말 타당성조사와 기본계획 수립 용역에 착수했다.
