[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 오는 7월 7일부터 여름철 아이들의 인기 시설인 공원 물놀이장(기업사랑공원 등 총 9개소)을 동시에 개장·운영한다고 23일 밝혔다. 

이번에 개장하는 공원 내 물놀이장은 의창구 감계3호공원, 사화공원, 성산구 기업사랑공원, 대원공원, 마산합포구 현동공원, 3·15해양누리공원, 마산회원구 삼계공원, 진해구 안청공원, 여좌지구 물놀이장으로, 운영기간은 7월 7일부터 8월 20일까지 45일간이며, 매일 오전 11시부터 오후 4시 40분까지 운영된다. 다만, 매주 월요일은 시설물 점검, 청소 등을 위해 휴장한다.

진해구 여좌지구 물놀이장(진해구 여좌동 924-1)과 사화공원 물놀이장(의창구 도계동 915-9)은 올해 첫 개장하는 물놀이장으로, 시는 2022년도 7개소에서 2개소가 추가된 총 9개소의 물놀이장을 운영할 계획이다.

지난해 물놀이장 개장 이후 45일간 15만명 이상이 다녀갈 정도로 여름철 어린이들에게 가장 인기 있는 시설이다. 시는 7월 5일까지 물놀이장 개장 전 시설 및 안전점검, 물놀이장별 7~8명의 안전관리 요원 배치와 근무요령 숙지를 완료하여 안전하고 쾌적한 물놀이장 이용에 만전을 다할 계획이다. 

박명종 푸른도시사업소장은 “무더운 여름, 일상 속에서 안전하게 물놀이장을 이용할 수 있도록 안전관리 요원을 시설 곳곳에 배치하여 아이들이 안전하게 물놀이를 즐길 수 있도록 안전관리에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
