[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경상남도지사는 15일 한덕수 국무총리와 함께 창원 한화에어로스페이스를 방문해 해외사업 추진현황 등 현안사항을 청취했다. 

이날 3.15의거 기념식에 참석한 한덕수 국무총리는 지난해 약 173억 달러라는 역대 최대 방산 수출 실적 달성에 기여한 한화에어로스페이스 현장을 직접 찾아 업체 관계자와 노동자들을 격려했다.

이날 현장에는 박완수 도지사를 비롯해 신범철 국방부 차관, 강환석 방위사업청 차장, 홍남표 창원시장, 손재일 한화에어로스페이스 대표이사 등 기업 관계자들이 함께 했다. 

기업 관계자와의 간담회에서는 한화에어로스페이스의 수출사업 현황 및 확대방안 보고와 함께 첨단 항공엔진의 국산화 필요성과 방위사업계약법과 관련된 사항을 논의했으며, K9 자주포와 K10 탄약 운반차 등 야외 전시 장비를 관람했다.

박 도지사는 지난 6일 ‘경남 방위산업 수출전략회의’를 개최한 것을 언급하며 “ 지역 기업체의 의견을 수렴한 결과 방위산업의 수출 경쟁력 강화를 위해서는 정부 차원의 지원이 반드시 필요하다”고 강조하며, “대한민국이 세계 4대 방산수출국으로 도약하는 데 도에서도 적극 지원하고 뒷받침해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
