박 도지사는 “함안은 아라가야의 숨결이 깃든 역사와 문화의 중심이며, 원예산업 등 경남 농업을 이끌어가는 도시”라며 “기업하기 좋은 입지환경을 갖추고 있어 함안은 경남의 새로운 산업의 중심지로서 발전잠재력이 대단히 크다”고 말했다.

박 도지사는 도민과의 대화에 앞서 함안 군북면에 있는 발전설비업체인 비에이치아이 본사를 방문해 기업 현황을 청취하고 시설을 직접 둘러봤다. 경남도는 원전산업 생태계 복원과 수소산업 등 친환경 에너지 사업에 대한 현장 의견을 수렴하는 한편, 에너지공급 대책과 전력수급계획에 따른 실질적인 지원에 대해서도 의견을 나누었다.

박 도지사는 “산업이 지속 발전하기 위해 인력공급이 가장 중요하며, 대학재정지원사업 50% 이상을 지방으로 이양한다는 정부계획에 맞춰 인재육성, 산업인력 공급에 적극 대응해 나갈 것”이라며 “특히, 산업수요에 따른 체계적인 인력 지원을 위해 산업인력지원청 신설을 정부에 건의하겠다”고 밝혔다.
