[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도의회 의장단은 2일 남해, 사천지역 주요사업 현장을 방문하고 사업추진 상황을 점검하는 등 올해 첫 현지 의정활동을 펼쳤다.
이날 현지 의정활동에는 김진부 의장, 최학범 부의장, 강용범 부의장, 박준 기획행정위원장, 박병영 교육위원장, 김현철 농해양수산위원장, 박해영 건설소방위원장, 김재웅 문화복지위원장 등 의장단과 류경완 의원(남해), 임철규 의원(사천1)이 참석했다.
의장단은 먼저 국도 77호선 남해-여수 해저터널 공사현장을 방문해, 경남도 김영삼 교통건설국장으로부터 공사현황과 향후계획을 청취하고 추진상황 등을 점검했다.
김진부 의장은 “해저터널이 개통되면 종전 1시간 20분 정도 걸리던 거리를 단 10분으로 줄여 영호남의 교류와 남해군의 관광산업에 큰 도움을 줄 것으로 예상된다”며,“경남도에서도 계획대로 사업이 추진될 수 있도록 만전을 기해줄 것”을 당부했다.
이후 의장단은 사천 한국항공우주산업(주)을 방문해, 주요사업현황과 우주항공청 설립 추진상황을 보고 받고, 우주항공센터와 국산 초음속전투기 KF-21을 시찰했다.
김진부 의장은 “국내 항공우주산업 점유율 1위인 경남에 우주항공청이 사천에 조속히 설립되어 글로벌 항공우주도시로 발돋움 할 수 있는 기틀이 마련되기를 바란다”며,“도의회에서도 경남이 우주산업을 선도할 기반이 될 수 있도록 우주항공청 사천 설립을 적극적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
