[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 중대재해 예방을 위한 안전문화 확산과 실천을 위해 경남의 리더들이 모여 적극 행보에 나섰다.
경남도는 26일 오후 도청 도정회의실에서 중대재해 예방과 감축을 위해 경남경영자총협회, 상공회의소, 대한건설협회경남도회 등 단체와 협의회, 기관 대표를 초청해 ‘안전보건 리더회의’를 개최했다.
이번 회의는 중대재해처벌법이 시행된 지 1년을 맞아 중대재해 예방 대책과 지원 시책 등을 공유하고 업종별 애로사항 등 현장의 목소리를 청취하고자 마련됐다.
경남도는 지난해 11월 ‘재해 없는 오늘! 더 안전한 내일!’이라는 정책비전, ‘도민 안전문화 확산, 안전한 일터 조성’을 목표로 하는 ‘중대재해 예방 및 감축대책’을 수립했다. 공공부문의 안전과 외국인 노동자 보호 등 3대 전략, 13개의 중점과제로 구성되어 있으며, 올해 중대재해 감축 원년으로 삼고자 유관기관과 협력체계 구축을 통해 본격 추진할 계획이다.
박 도지사는 지난 6일 도내 노동단체인 한국노총 경남지역본부와 민주노총 경남지역본부를 직접 방문해 중대재해와 관련한 의견을 청취한 데 이어, 이번에는 기업체 리더들을 만났다.

이날 회의에는 이상연 경남경영자총협회장을 비롯해 도내 상공회의소, 건설업, 중소기업, 여성경제인, 조선업, 물류업 등 다양한 기업협의체 회장단이 대거 참석했다.
박 도지사는 “우리 사회에 중대재해와 관련된 사건이나 사고가 발생하지 않도록 사전에 예방하기 위해 어떠한 노력이 필요한지 논의하는 자리”라며 “중대재해 예방을 위해서는 정부와 지자체, 기업인과 노동자 모두가 협력하고, 좋은 의견이나 정책 제안이 도정에 반영될 수 있도록 함께 노력해 나가야 한다”고 말했다.
이상연 경남경영자총협회장은 “경남의 산재를 예방하고, 안전의식이 일터에 자리 잡을 수 있도록 적극 노력하겠다”며 안전문화가 확산될 수 있도록 산업안전대상의 신설을 요청했다.
이상석 통영상공회의소 회장은 “안전한 일터 조성에 발주단계부터 안전관리비가 원청에서 부담해야 원하청 모두 안전할 수 있다”며 정부 등에서 하도급 구조에서 안전이 확보될 수 있도록 구체적인 제도개선을 해줄 것을 건의했다.
이에 박 도지사는 “내달 개최되는 시·도지사협의회를 통해 오늘 나온 건의사항들을 정부에 정식적으로 건의하겠다”고 밝혔다.
