[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경남도 항만관리사업소는 항만시설의 비정상적인 불법‧무단사용 관행을 개선하기 위해 오는 11일부터 25일까지 2주간, 지역 어민들의 어구야적 및 컨테이너가 집중되어 있는 통영·거제·사천 지방관리무역항에 대해 항만시설 사용실태 일제점검을 실시한다고 10일 밝혔다.

이번 단속은 항만의 효율적인 운영과 질서를 확립하고 항만시설 불법 점․사용 근절을 목표로, 단속의 투명성과 효과성을 높이기 위해 각 지소 간 교차단속 방식으로 진행된다.

중점단속 사항은 ▲항만시설 무단 점·사용 ▲불법전대 ▲허가내용(조건) 준수 여부 ▲야적 화물의 관리 상태 ▲쓰레기 무단투기 등이다.

항만관리사업소에서는 단속기간 중 불법행위로 적발될 경우 개선명령, 과태료부과 및 항만시설사용허가취소 등 행정처분을 내리고, 형사사범에 대해서는 고발조치를 병행하여 단속을 펼칠 계획이다.

경남도항만관리사업소 관계자는 “해양・수산종사자들의 자발적인 법규 준수를 당부하는 한편, 기존에 구역별 담당자가 점검하는 방식에서 벗어나 각 지소별 교차점검을 통하여 단속의 투명성을 높임과 동시에 불법․무단사용 관행을 개선하여 항만 질서를 확립하겠다”고 밝혔다.
