[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군이 합천운석충돌구 거점센터 개관을 앞두고 전시 콘텐츠 조성에 본격 착수했다.

 

합천군은 6일 군청 소회의실에서 '합천운석충돌구 거점센터 전시설계 및 전시물 제작·설치 용역' 착수보고회와 자문회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

 

회의에는 김윤철 군수를 비롯해 관계 공무원과 지질·운석, 전시운영, 건축 분야 전문가, 합천운석충돌구 주민위원장 등 15명이 참석해 전시공간 기본설계안을 검토하고 전시 콘텐츠 구성 방향을 논의했다.

 

참석자들은 운석충돌구의 형성과정과 학술적 가치 전달 방안, 전시 주제와 스토리라인, 어린이와 가족 단위 방문객을 위한 체험형 전시 구성 등에 대한 의견을 제시했다.

 

초계면에 건립 중인 합천운석충돌구 거점센터는 지상 1층, 연면적 961㎡ 규모로 조성되며 운석충돌구의 가치와 지질자원을 소개하는 전시·교육·체험 공간으로 활용될 예정이다.

 

합천군은 오는 7월까지 전시 기본·실시설계를 마무리한 뒤 9월 전시물 설치 관련 공사를 발주하고, 10월부터 전시물 제작과 설치를 진행해 12월 시범운영과 함께 개관할 계획이다.

 

군은 거점센터를 기반으로 향후 추진하는 합천운석충돌구 세계지질테마공원 조성과 연계해 지질관광 활성화와 체험형 관광 콘텐츠 확충에 나설 방침이다.
