[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 1200년 역사를 지닌 하동 전통 제다 기술이 프랑스에서 열린 국제 차 문화 행사에서 주목받으며 유네스코 인류무형문화유산 등재를 향한 국제적 기반을 넓혔다.

하동덖음차보존회와 하동차&바이오진흥원은 최근 프랑스 레위니옹섬에서 개최된 ‘제1회 세계차심포지엄’에 한국 대표로 참가해 하동의 전통 덖음차 제다 기술과 차 문화를 선보였다고 밝혔다.

이번 심포지엄에서는 한불 수교 140주년을 기념해 ‘하동 차솥 걸기’ 퍼포먼스가 진행됐다. 하동에서 가져온 전통 가마솥으로 덖음차 제조 과정을 재현한 시연은 각국 차 전문가와 참가자들의 관심을 모으며 한국 전통 제다 기술의 우수성을 알렸다.

학술 행사에서는 하동 차의 역사와 문화적 가치, 차 산업과 관광을 연계한 지역 발전 모델이 소개됐다. 특히 차 문화를 가업으로 계승하는 한국과 일본 차 생산자들이 참여한 원탁회의에서는 전통 농업유산의 세대 간 전승 필요성이 주요 의제로 논의됐다.
