[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 한국남동발전 나눔봉사단이 본격적인 영농철을 맞아 상생 경영을 실천하기 위한 현장 봉사활동에 나섰다. 한국남동발전은 지난 28일 농촌 지역의 일손 부족 문제를 해소하고 장애인 자립을 지원하기 위해 장애인 직업재활시설을 찾아 농촌 일손 돕기 봉사활동을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.

이번 봉사활동이 진행된 ‘사랑그림숲’(진주시 수곡면 소재)은 한국남동발전이 농어촌상생협력기금을 출연해 조성한 시설이다. 이곳은 농업 자원을 활용해 장애인의 심신 치유를 돕고 안정적인 일자리를 제공하는 ‘사회적 농업’ 사업을 활발히 추진하고 있다.

이날 봉사에 참여한 남동발전 나눔봉사단원 30여 명은 파종을 위한 땅 고르기와 비닐 씌우기 작업을 마친 뒤, 총 3,000주의 옥수수를 파종했다. 전날 내린 비로 인해 토양이 질어 작업 여건이 좋지 않았음에도 불구하고, 단원들은 적극적으로 참여해 계획된 작업을 차질 없이 마무리했다.
