[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원특례시는 7일 오후 진해첨단산업연구단지(舊 진해 육대부지)에서 기술혁신형 창업・벤처기업 사업공간 조성을 위한 ‘진해공공임대형 지식산업센터 착공식’을 개최했다.

 

공공임대형 지식산업센터는 수도권에 밀집된 민간 지식산업센터에 대응하기 위해 비수도권의 중소기업에 낮은 임대료와 세제감면으로 사업공간을 제공하고 일자리를 창출하기 위한 정부 공모사업이다.

 

창원특례시는 지속적인 공장용지 가격 상승 및 각종 규제로 인한 중소기업의 입지 애로를 해소하고 소재산업 등 전략산업 육성을 위해 중소벤처기업부 공모사업을 신청해 지난 2018년 12월 최종 선정되었다. 

 

본 사업은 2023년 11월 준공을 목표로 국비 160억원을 포함하여 총 283억원의 사업비가 투입되며, 지하 1층~지상 6층, 연면적 12,074㎡ 규모로 ▲기업입주공간 46실 ▲창업보육센터 22실 ▲회의실 ▲코워킹스페이스 ▲컨벤션홀 등 다양한 기업지원시설이 들어선다. 

 

벤처기업의 입주공간과 창업 활성화를 위한 창업보육센터는 창의적인 아이디어와 뛰어난 기술력을 가진 예비창업자에게 기술지원, 네트워크 지원, 자금 지원 등 종합적인 창업 지원을 제공하여 업종 간 협업과 융복합이 이루어지는 창업과 혁신의 공간으로 조성될 계획이다. 

 

초기 자금이 부족한 중소기업을 위해 저렴한 임대료로 기업의 이전 및 창업을 촉진하고, 비즈니스 네트워크를 구축함으로써 나타날 경제적 파급효과는 생산유발효과 559억원, 부가가치유발효과 181억원, 고용유발효과 348명이 발생될 것으로 예상된다.
