[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 올해 첫 해군병 721기 700여명이 5일 입영식을 갖고 5주간의 기초군사훈련에 돌입했다.

해군교육사령부(이하 해군교육사)는 이날 기초군사교육단장 주관으로 배웅하러 온 가족 등이 참석한 가운데 기군단 연병장에서 2026년 첫 해군병 입영식을 가졌다.

입영식에는 가족 쉼터를 비롯한 피복전시, 포토존, 군종카페, 모병홍보 등의 홍보부스 운영과 캄보밴드 등 다양한 볼거리를 선보여 참석 가족들과 내빈들에게 즐거움을 선사했다.

기초군사교육단장 김광민 준장은 “올해도 체계적인 기초군사훈련을 통해 국가와 국민의 신뢰에 부응하는 정예해군병을 육성하는데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

입영식을 마친 721기 해군병들은 해군교육사 예하 기초군사교육단에서 5주간의 양성교육훈련 과정을 이수하고 2월 6일 수료할 예정이다. 

이들은 체력단련, 전투행군, 야전교육, IBS(소형고무보트), 전투수영 등 실무에 필요한 다양한 교육훈련을 거쳐 정예해군병으로 거듭날 계획이다.

The first 700 Naval Enlistees of the 721st Class of 2026 entered their five-week basic military training on February 5th.

The Naval Education Command (NAVEC) held the first Naval Enlistment Ceremony for 2026 at the Flag Corps Parade Ground, hosted by the Commander of the Basic Military Education Command and attended by their families and other guests.

The ceremony featured a family lounge, a uniform exhibition, a photo zone, a chaplain's cafe, and promotional booths for recruiting. Various attractions, including the Kambo Band, provided entertainment for the families and guests.

Commander General Kim Kwang-min, Commander of the Basic Military Education Command, stated, "This year, we will continue to do our best to foster elite Naval Enlistees who will live up to the trust of the nation and the people through systematic basic military training."

The 721st Navy enlisted men, who have completed their enlistment ceremony, will complete a five-week basic military training course at the Naval Education and Training Command's Basic Military Training Corps, graduating on February 6th.

They will undergo a variety of practical training, including physical training, combat marches, field training, IBS (inflatable boat training), and combat swimming, to become elite Navy enlisted men.
